When customers choose a linear optical axis, they usually have requirements for surface hardness. The purpose of external surface hardness is to improve wear resistance. For metal materials, the higher the hardness, the better the wear resistance, but the harder the core, the lower the toughness. The load resistance and impact resistance are reduced, therefore the important shaft requirements are: a hard outer and a hard inner. So, what is the difference between a hard axis and a soft axis? Hard axis: Hard axis refers to a linear optical axis whose surface has undergone high-frequency quenching treatment. Its hardness usually reaches around HRC60 and can be used in conjunction with linear bearings. Flexible shaft: A flexible shaft is a linear optical shaft with an unhardened surface. Usually used for transmission. The flexible shaft has not undergone induction hardening. Its hardness is usually HB2 tons of inventory goods and a number of long-term stable cooperative customers.
